oil filter?

So we are changing the oil on my brothers bike and the oil filter won't come off. We went to cycle gear and bought the tool to take it off but it won't catch on the filter and take it off, so then we got this tool from home depot that looks like a leather strap on a wrench but that didn't work. Any suggestions on how to get it off?

Long screwdriver.

Stab the filter with the screwdriver, then twist off using the screwdriver as a handle.

Hahaha I've done that before! Poke a hole in the bottom of the filter to drain the rest of the oils out before trying to unscrew it . Lol

Take it from an aircraft mechanic. Just make sure you screw the new one on only hand tight.

A big pair of Channellock pliers works. (if you don't want to use the screwdriver method)

I had the same issue doing the first oil filter change on my bike, drove me crazy lol. What worked for me though is: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accesso...97190_0_0_ Let me know if you need to borrow it
