What is your thermostat set at?
So with all this heat, utility bills are going to skyrocket. That being said what do you set your thermostat to? Also, do you have any alternate means of cooling other than a/c?
Day: 82 Night:80 Ceiling fans on Hi in every room and floor fan in garage. I tried a swamp cooler in garage but it didn't work since my garage has NO venting. So a high speed blower keeps the air moving at least. Work Smarter, Not Harder. |

That's pretty cool. (Ba dum -TING!) Same principals that apply to the cool vest! Also, don't know. Most of the time I'm not even home. But when I get my house I'm definitely setting it at a brisk twenty five degrees "250 is like the honey badger, it doesn't give a shit" 906+ years and still going! **2013-2016 Secretary** |

RE: What is your thermostat set at?
How old is your ac? Even though newer models are spensive as hell, the energy saving is redonculous. But also, the fact you have a 2 story, does put a stress on the ac since cold air flows downwards.. Soon as upstairs is cool, it all goes downstairs... then again, you might also have a weather stripping or window sealant problem, or perhaps too many windows facing or getting sunlight that arent covered with sun blocking window drapes? Most of my windows have them that face the sun and make a HUGE diff on room temps.. they are like 16 bucks a drape.. usually takes 2 drapes per most windows.
