RE: What did you do to your bike today?
its not running all that rich... in fact that is pretty normal with an aftermarket exhaust. Decel pops happen when unburnt fuel enters the exhaust and is mixed with fresh oxygen introduced from the PAIR system. This causes a post ignition inside the exhaust system. It did this before as well but you never noticed because the stock exhaust uses chambered baffels and that would absorb and disipate the pops - straight through systems such as basically any aftermarket system so not absorb these pops. The PAIR (Pulse Air Injection Re-circulation) system as most mfgs call it, actually started as an emissions control system to deliberately burn up that unburnt fuel as to not pump raw gas fumes into the atmosphere.

A simple solution to this is to eliminate or block off the PAIR system which will eliminate the decel pop. By the time the unburnt fumes reach the outlet of the pipe, it is too cool to ignite. Check around for a PAIR block off kit for your bike. They install on the top of the cylinder heads. You usually remove the reed valves and replace with the plates. You have to plug the airbox hole as well that once had a hose feeding the pair system and remove a whole mess of hoses and the actuating valve as well. Make sure to cap off any hoses that you unplug as to not experience a lean condition.

Just google it and that will give you more info.
