RE: What did you do to your bike today?
hmmm, been a long minute... lets see.
Last week or so been tearing into a WR450 motor that has a bad head gasket, getting all new top end gaskets, head and jug lapped, valve job, new powder coated valve cover, both side covers and a few other bits. Also new oil ines, new sprocket and a host of other goodies - not my bike tho. Handfull of tires on some dirt bikes that werent mine Sold the XR500 Zoey (490 Dirt) has a new trials tire on the back and finished the raptor liner on the plastics and shes running well and ready for the trail again but need new shock linkage bearings soon. Couple of little things to Elsa (BMW) but nothing significant. Tia (RC51) been running well and finished her new suede seat cover. About to start stripping down bodywork for paint, gonna start that next week I think. Little Magna is kinda running again but have to dig into the carbs now. Had a bad pickup coil for the 1-3 cylinders. Sorted that, new clutch and brake masters, gonna start paint soon also. Vyrus (ninja 250 project) is coming along too. got the tank tin work finished up and working on the custom seat. Gonna be swapping front and rear ends and wheels from to the current gen so I have tire options and drop in some RT emulators in those forks. Also got a K&N knockoff filter for it and will start the tuning for that. and new petcock came in the mail yesterday too. and some other bike stuff too. - J "You were taking it easy right? Valve cover gasket changed. Re routed clutch cable to the correct travel around the forks. Learned a lot about removing airbox and tank in the process. And retracing wiring. Lol
