I totally agree with That Guy, I've been a dirt bike rider all my life and transitioned to sport bikes about 6 months ago, and my R6 is my first sport bike. For a guy my size, who understands balance (and took the msf course before riding my R6) I think it's a great starter bike, not to mention the perfect bike for me, it's got enough power to teach you to respect your throttle, but not so much as to throw you in a wheelie the first time you release the clutch off time, especially for a daily driver/commuter vehicle, be safe and be aware!
