I taped down my high beam switch.

A $.01 mod completed.

If you have projector lenses, yes.

There are a few reasons for this... most higher end (performance oriented) bikes do this. 1) it is less weight. Negligible I know, but none the less, grams here and there add up, 2) less draw on the electrical system and thus less stress on the regulator, battery and stator. These components can be made lighter by limiting their outputs, 3) less points of failure although im not sure this is much now considering how much electronics modern bikes have, 4) the single headlight is generally sufficient, or at least minimally adequate... the list goes on an on but there are plenty of legit reasons.

What that guy said and..........

you could always just get an R1. Problem solved.

Seriously. Way more trouble than what is worth. Eventually you will stop caring and not even notice it after a while. Just turn your high beam on and be done with it.

Hell, even the BMW's have one high beam and one low beam separately on their 1000RR
