RE: cali ride 6/1/13
no knocking it... Have done plenty of 500+ mile rides. I personally just do not enjoy rushing around on a long ride and trying to cram in so much in one day and never getting the time to appreciate the experiences that Im having. If its about getting somewhere as a form of transport, thats one thing, but for me, a 700 mile round trip just to claim a 700 mile round trip is not fun. Im more of a stop and smell the roses kinda rider.

But to each his own and hope you all enjoy it for sure!

OUT...torn groin muscle and I'm working/shooting the JDRF/ADESA Las Vegas Car/Motorcycle show that I posted up. Sad

Otherwise I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Just remember boys and girls...don't get too tired on that 700+ mile ride and make mistakes and end up going down. It can happen, seen it happen and it's not fun picking up the pieces. That's the only reason huge rides like this worry me. Easy to get too tired, keep pushing and end up going down because of a loss of focus. Same can happen on a trackday.

I wish you all luck and fun. Smile May the riding spirit be with you.

If you can't beat 'em...shoot 'em! Rofl2

RE: cali ride 6/1/13
again, have fun with this. I just want to touch on R1_demon's post in that do be aware of your state of fatigue. It will catch up to you in a hurry. Having just finished up my long ride to colorado and back I can tell you it was tough. A little different because it was basically all slab, but none the less, if you get tired. pull over, stretch and walk around a bit.

have fun!
