Bought it used off Craig's list back in march.
Don't think it was stunted or raced.
I know its been down twice first time by first owner.(don't know back story except that it's been dropped)
Second time by me going like 15mph

Mine has about 45k miles on it and I have never had to adjust valves.
I checked them last time at 40k.
I bought the bike with 0 miles on it.

But, these year bikes are known for their sewing machine ticking noise (related to the automatic cam chain tensioner). It might seem like something in there is not right, although in reality they are within spec.

I put a manual cam chain tensioner on mine for no other reason than to keep it a little quieter (at the expense of time to check it every once in a while and adjust as needed).

By all means have the valve clearances checked as that never hurts to do if there is any doubt about them.

If you see me around let me know and I can listen to your motor and let you know what I think. I know it pretty well by now.

Freddy, very well may be cam chain. I can tell you with absolute certainty it isn't normal. There are some running issues I believe to be associated with it as well which brings me back to valves.

RE: buying new exhaust
Yeah it has a slight issue in low rpms .. Justin rode my bike and got to experience it.
