RE: advice on oil
Castrol Power RS 10W-40. Why? Because it's fully synthetic and good price. Amazon.com 43.00 for 6. I've always used Motul because it was all I could find and at decent price. But I have finally seen the light...thx Amazon!

RE: advice on oil
I'm currently running a blend mix. Castro GTX 10w-40. I read a few sites that said it was fine but after reading this I'm highly thinking about swapping into diesel oil at my next change. I didn't know that the engine and tranny shares the same oil(I've had a motorcycle for shy of two weeks now) so knowing that makes more since as to why a full synthic is needed. I did use a k&n filter tho. Fuck Fram filters. I refuse to use them on my car.

whatever is on sale at cycle gear. or order on Amazon. but definitely use K&N filters. much cheaper than OEM, and just as good Smile

and i would change oil on me bike more frequently than a car...
