RE: What did you do to your bike today?
Replaced the rear valve cover gasket on the 700 magna.... oh and finished the paint on the tank a few days ago... and did fork seals on it also... and rebuilt the calipers, and installed new fuel lines and filter, and added LED aux lights, and got it plated.... and rode it a bunch so far. gotta tear into the clutch cover and see if I can track down a noise thats bothering me.
and started on the 750 magna now too. got it running - kind of. starting the tear down on it and getting paperwork in order for it. and moved the big magna out of the way a few times. and noticed that Tia is leaking from her other fork seal so I get to do that again. yay :-\ thats about it for now. - J "You were taking it easy right? RE: What did you do to your bike today?
started swapping a CB550SC front end onto the 750 magna for the 19" wheel, got most of the way through and broke my snap ring pliers and then decided to scrap the idea... too much work for just a different tire. Now to go out and put it all back together.
Also discovered that the fuel pump on my 700 was leaking from the housing so ordered a replacement on that. ordered new rubber for the 700 also. - Justin "You were taking it easy right? Because I could keep up with you and from what I understand, I shouldn't be able to do that..." - Ken "No Neck" |

RE: What did you do to your bike today?
fought with the brakes on my big magna and decided that the bike simply does not need to stop... it was made to go fast, not stop. lol. Think I got sticky sliders actually so gotta do a full rebuild of the calipers. was hoping I could get away with just the pistons and seals.
then on to front brakes for the truck. Only took me 4.5 hours to do the front left side. 2 hours into the front right and should be done in another hour or so. It needed rotors like 30K miles ago. whoops. not sure whats on deck for tonight. maybe those sliders. - J EDIT: I now have new pads and rotors on the truck, but no ABS anymore. must have nicked a wire somewhere... I suspect on the driver side as I know the wire got pulled a bit when the axle slipped a little on me while feeding the wire through. "You were taking it easy right? RE: What did you do to your bike today?
new fuel pump installed in the 700 and....
as a motorcyclist, i have concluded that there are few feelings greater than that of new tires!!! and she will be up for sale within a few days now. and sorted out the brakes on the big magna. needed new hoses as the stockers were swelling so much that it just wouldn't bite. shes ready to rock and roll as well. - Justin "You were taking it easy right?
