RE: What did you do to your bike today?
Sunday I finally got passenger peg brackets mounted on the Superhawk... what a biotch trying to clear the high pipes on the bike. I think I went to Ace hardware like 6 times total.
Then I spent all of yesterday afternoon in the garage working on the ZRX. It was a bonding day for both of us. Bonding, not bondo. I removed the ugly radiator shrouds and installed other ugly radiator shrouds. Then topped off the overflow bottle after having a coolant hose off momentarily. I'll top it off again after riding it and warming it up. I relocated both horns from the ugly OEM location under the radiator to tuck them in under the headlight on each side. I got the headlight brackets swapped out for slightly longer ones and rewired the front signals with bullet connectors so I can unplug them instead of cutting them loose to remove them. While I had it all apart, I replaced the gauge and idiot light bulbs with LED bulbs. I mounted the Trail Tech Voyager just above the gauges and inside the windscreen, and wired it to constant power. Then closed it all back up and.... around 4 am this morning, I woke up and realized I had forgotten to plug back in the headlight connector to the back of the headlight. I started it up to check it on my way out this morning, and yep... no working headlight. Oh well, it's a 2 minute fix when I get home tonight, so I rode the Superhawk to work. FJR1300, ZRX1100 |
