I fixed the fuel line issue last night, and now the green meanie runs good again. It still needs brake work, front and rear.

It's quickly becoming my daily driver, and I think all the other bikes are going to go find their 'forever homes' somewhere else.

bike is almost done... but bad news..

need new rotors =(... 576 bucks gets me all 3 new galfer wave rotors.. but will have to wait till next month.. =( boooo...

need to figure out how to jack the bike up to take off old lower triple, everything is removed, top triple, lower nuts, bars, levers, forks, etc.. just need to prop, pop out the old, put in the new and put the new rotors on. then brake lines and fluid + bleed.

going to get new fork fluid in the forks while they are off as well..

RE: What did you do to your bike today?
put the bike on the rear stand (with spools preferably) and run a ratchet strap over the tail and tie to the rear stand, then use a car jack under the engine/exhaust with a block of wood between the bike and the jack to disperse load.

This works on most bikes but use your own judgment on this. if it doesn't feel right, it likely isnt. Otherwise, if you have frame attached frame sliders, you can use jack stands under those. Again, on the rear stand and tied down, have someone lift on the front and another person slide the jack stands under the frame sliders, as close to the frame as possible.

RE: What did you do to your bike today?
The problem I have right now are my jacks arent tall enough to hit my frame sliders... I am about 1 foot away from them..

I was thinking putting a bunch of wood on either side but I would need 1 foot worth. Unless someone has something else I can put under them..

The only other possible jack placement areas are on the left and right side of the lower engine block and kinda iffy about that... the next alternative would be a cherry picker or throw a tie down over the garage framing but that would require me to put the forks/wheels back on to maneuver it to the nearest stud.

Didnt someone on here have a cherry picker they were selling or you were going to get from them, I think it was the guy I got the subs from... wonder if I can borrow it for 30 min..

RE: What did you do to your bike today?
using straps to hang it from the rafters/opener brackets (mind you I have done this plenty of times myself) is a good way to end up with a busted bike and a broken garage door.

My jackstands are short as well, but I use some pavers or cinder blocks under the jackstands with no issues to get the extra height. They are super cheap.

Let me know when you plan to do this and I can come lend a hand.
