....a used rad fan is prob like 25 bucks and takes 5 minutes to put on... okay.. maybe..15...... why chance it..

You won't need a fan on the track, coolant temps should only be in the 2teens or so and a fan usually doesn't kick on til 220+. It also allows more air to pass through the radiation, albeit not much, but not having the fan on there does help reduce airflow restriction.
