Oil and filter
So who likes what for oil and oil filter? For an 03 zx7.

I'm going to acquaint myself with my bike and would like your input for my little project.

RE: Oil and filter
Crisco and some rolled up Brawny.... Rofl2

I use Shell's Rotella T6 5W-40 full synthetic oil. I get it from Wal-Mart since it's considerably cheaper there than anywhere else. But if needed you can find it in any gas station, pharmacy, and even some supermarkets. As far as oil filter I just stop by cycle gear and pick up a K 'n N oil filter. It's only like $9.

RE: Oil and filter
I use the factory Suzuki oil filter and I am currently using Redline Synthetic. I have used Motul and Maxima but the Redline makes clutch engagement feel so much smoother.

Work Smarter, Not Harder. Cool

if there is ANYTHING I have EVER learned from motorcycle forums, its that you dont start asking about peoples preferences of oil or why one is better or worse than the other. LOL

You'll see.

RE: Oil and filter
oh, and I use the Rotella T6 now also. I used to use Mobil 1 full syn but recently that has given me problems so I switch my old bike to dino oil. My RC gets rotella. I will be trying rotella in the old bike next oil change.

RE: Oil and filter
For the bikes it's best to use a 4t oil. Something about an extra additive for the clutch. So for the bikes,I like to use Castrol 5w-40 4T full syn motorcycle oil.
