New Tires Advice
I am considering getting new tires for my ZX6R. Want ones that are stickier than the stock battleaxe on there now. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

RE: New Tires Advice
-What kind of riding are you looking to do with these tires? Track days? Racing? Commuting? Touring? Spirited canyon run? Drag strip?
-What tires are on now? Bt-016? -Did you have any issues with those? -What are you hoping new tires will improve on the old ones? --- Charlie don't surf! The Cake is a Lie! You're gonna love my nuts! Frank [/quot The trick to finding the right tire is to have the right tire guy to call and ask. For some, that might be the local counter clerk at Cycle Gear. For me, that guy is Jim Cox at Jim Cox Racing. He rides, he does track events, he supports all the WERA events and he flat knows tires. And he is an authorized Dunlop dealer. |

RE: New Tires Advice
Definitely any of the local shops in Vegas are loaded with information about tires! Like Freddy said what are your intentions. If your looking to go faster bring your bike out to the track and learn what your bike can do with the stock tires and focus on your riding abilities. Believe me if your a newish rider those tire will out ride you. I rode my first couple of track days with my stock tires and they provided to be enough. My personal opinion is work on your techniques before spending money on better/ more expensive extras.
