New Member Introduction
Hello all! Me and my R6 just moved to Vegas about 3 weeks ago from Denver and I'm eager to see what kind of good rides there are around here. More importantly, I know precisely zero people in Vegas and I'm kind of going stir crazy lol. Unfortunately, I discovered a disturbing gash in the center tread of my rear tire last weekend so I'm not brave enough to saddle up until I get it fixed (although the rubber is still new/thick enough that I MIGHT be able to get away with it if I take it fairly easy). Does anyone have any shop recommendations in town for a tire change and lube?
Looking forward to meeting you guys and getting some saddle time soon! Cheers! |

Welcome Johnny Five! We have rides on Thursday evening around 6 and Sunday mornings around 7. Both at the Red Rock Loop plus occasional rides around the Lake and up the Mountain!! What part of town are you in? There are a few good shops around town. My guy is on Boulder and Sunset (Green Valley Motorcycles) but there are others that are just as good. Other members will post up the shops. Again, Welcome to the forum!!

I drove Charleston Peak/Kyle Canyon/Deer Creek last weekend and I also drove Red Rock Canyon to scout the conditions and so far there don't seem to be many rides nearby that can fill in the time between breakfast and lunch lol! Everything ended just as it was getting fun! I haven't tried Lake Mead/Valley of Fire yet. A coworker also told me about rides to Nipton and Kingman but havent had a chance to look into those. I'm just south of Summerlin, maybe 2 miles from Red Rock Casino, but I dont mind traveling for good service! |

Hey Johnny, welcome.
I had my bike in for service at Racers Edge today. They were super to work with. Ask for Dale and tell him Alex referred you. They are a bit of a hike from Summerlin, but well worth it. http://racersedgeperformance.com/ |

Welcome! What part of Denver? I am a Denver transplant 2.5 years ago. I may have ridden with you. You roll with the CSC guys at all? Im actually from Parker/HR area.
Tires are easy. Sometime during the week Im more than happy to help you out with you pick up the rubber, I can slap it on for ya. Not hard to DIY a tire if ya know what you are doing. I havent paid for tire mounting in YEARS. Im in the Summerlin area about 10 minutes north of Red Rock casino. I have helped many a member here with mounting tires. Look forward to riding with you! I may have a good 180 rear you could borrow in the mean time. has a patch on it (on the inside) if you cool with that until you get new rubber if ya want it. - Justin "You were taking it easy right? Because I could keep up with you and from what I understand, I shouldn't be able to do that..." - Ken "No Neck" |

Im actually from Parker/HR area. I lived in Aurora/East Denver for 6 years but I didn't get introduced to CSC until late 2011. Great group there though! I'd certainly be willing to bring the bike to you to put the new buns on. I'd love to learn how to do it myself, I'm sure its not hard, I've just never trusted myself to try it without proper guidance. I hope to have the new tires ordered by Labor Day. I'm upgrading to Q2s from the stock Qualifiers so I will be mounting both front and rear (hopefully that doesn't make a difference). I will definitely keep you posted on my progress! Thanks very much for the offer! |
