RE: Long Trip/Commuter backpacks
I use an Under Armour backpack that I got as a present and I take it EVERYWHERE. Even when I'm not riding, I still use it. It has a laptop sleeve and still has plenty of room for other stuff and even has a net that can come out and you can put your helmet in it. I guess it's similar to this one, but not exactly the same:
http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/ua...235271-001 But I've taken it everywhere and it has held up without a single issue. Plus, it's pretty darn light, so I don't even feel it on my back unless I really load it down. I agree with others about a tailbag or tankbag if you are going on a really long trip and don't want to get fatigued though. However, for normal "running around", this one does the trick. If you can't beat 'em...shoot 'em! South Bay Photography |

RE: Long Trip/Commuter backpacks
I went with this one:
http://ogio.com/no-drag-mach-5 It definitely lives up to it's name. Once it was loaded and strapped in I hardly felt it. And even though it was windy yesterday on the way back from Kingman it didn't throw me off balance. The (zip backwards) design is a really good idea, there's no chance that the wind will work a zipper loose and scatter my stuff across the highway. It does expand pretty nice, but overall there isn't a ton of room. I didn't need to bring much so that worked out well. It does have a zipper around the outside to expand it a little. -Kes |
