Finally gave in, I got four wheels
Last Thursday, I left Reno-Lake Tahoe Int'l Airport for:

Waiting for me at curbside at Sea-Tac.

Inside the showroom floor, a new 2014 Ducati Multistrada leftover, with 4 miles.

Rode it back to Reno. See, now I have four wheels.

Very nice!

I might be to old to cut the mustard, but I can still lick the jar.

Didn't you have a dirt bike for winter snow riding before?

Kenny you go hard dude! How long of a drive was that? I see snow on the ground outside of your garage so the temp alonewould have been enough to keep me off of my bike, let alone the white stuff and possibly black ice out there. How many miles are on your Yamaha now? So tell us, is the Multistrada all that they say it is in the magazines?

Yes I did, it was an Enduro and I wish I still had it.

It was 750 miles, rode 225 miles the first night through a torrential downpour to Salem Oregon where I spent the night. Then another 10 hours the following day, another 525 miles.

My FZ6 has over 104k miles. Having two bikes now, it will be easier for Matt to catch up with the miles. I think he's about 20k miles back?

Can't wait to ride it back down to Vegas and see you guys.

Actually there are some things on the bike that just does not make any sense, which I would rate poor. One is the fuel range, less than 200 on a tank which is kind of silly for a bike to be designed to go long distance. I heard the 15's have improved fuel efficiency to extend the range with the same tank size. But mine's a 14. And the odometer only goes to 99,999 and then it freezes. It does not continue or roll back to zero. That is totally retarded.

The bike is tall! What I would do to have an extra inch or two. Size does matter.
