Cross country traveler seeking home shop for DIY rear tire change.
Folks, I'm a Columbus, Ohio, resident in the middle of a cross country moto tour on a year 2000 Suzuki GSF600S Bandit. Or, as I like to call it, the Wee Bandit. I'm currently three weeks and 4,000 miles into the trip. The bike has over 108,000 on the clock in total. The primary object of the journey has been the viewing of the total solar eclipse in Casper, Wyoming. I'm currently in Las Vegas visiting with my retired parents. Prior to the start of my wanderings, I had a new rear Avon drop shipped to my parent's home.

Anyone with standard tire changing implements (bead breaker, compressed air, and static balancer?) in their personal shop willing to host me for an hour or two for me to change my rear shoe?

PM me if interested in getting together.

Thanks!

In case you'd like to see some of the pictures from the trip so far:

RE: Cross country traveler seeking home shop for DIY rear tire change.
Thanks. I know it's near the Labor Day holiday weekend and folks are busy. I just couldn't wait longer for a response. This morning I hit Lowe's for a couple of 2x4's to fabricate wheel risers. I also used a 2x4 to build a lever to break the bead.

The tire is changed. Manufacturing tolerances are such these days imbalance shouldn't be a problem on two-lane state and U.S. routes. And, even if it is, I can pick up some Slime dynamic balancer at a local Walmart.

The large capacity Scott Oiler has been refilled with generic ATF.

We're good to go for the rest of the tour.

All, thanks for providing a forum and the offer of help. Moto folk are the best folk.

Cheers.
