Bike Carrier

Does anybody have one of those rear bike carriers that you put on a hitch? I may need one to pick up a bike in socal this week.. wont know until tmrw but if so, I'd like to borrow/rent it for a day.

yeah you pretty much need a truck with a class III hitch. Class II hitch is usually only good for 200-300lbs tongue weight at most. Class III can vary wildly too from 300lbs up to 800lbs or more. Then there is always class 4 but thats big bucks and not made for many vehicles.

I do have a trailer you can borrow. Its a 4x8 trailer with corner ties. Pulls super easy. Only thing I ask in exchange is the $16 to register it (tags still good but come due next month so i figure thats fair. there is no wheel chalk on it currently but I have one if you wanna bolt it down, just haven't gotten around to it. Its also a tilt bed but you would be better to use a ramp.

Let me know. Takes a 1-7/8 ball and I can even lend the hitch to ya too. Has a flat-4 plug.
