600 mile service on new CBR150r?
Carter is quoting me $450 for this to adjust the valves, change the oil and inspect a few other things..$150 without the valve job.

Anyone have a good place where this can be done for less? Or should a honda dealer be the place to do this?

I also needed some frame sliders installed so plan to get these put on when it goes in for the first service..

To add to Frosty's post, I've seen a few different guys advertising on Cragslist about doing any and all work on bikes for half the hourly rate of the shops rates.

anybody have any experience with this and would you recommend it?

600 miles should just be an over look of the bike and an oil change. I didnt have my valves checked till 30k...

one thing about the "Stealerships" as we like to call them... they love to overcharge and sell you things you dont need.

Go for the 150 without the valve job. There are other places in town that can do what you ask as well. Cycletech, LV dyno tech and racers edge!

Racer's Edge is the shit!

Dale (Owner) really knows a thing or two about bikes. Dodgy

Just an FYI, Dale is a former racer and has his own trackdays and does private instruction. I think he still races WERA.

Check out your owners manual... There should be a chart in the back that lists what should be done at each service, 600, 4000, 8000 etc....

Should just be a typical overlook and oil change as Arson said. RideNow on Boulder takes care of me for now (bought the bike there with service plan...) you can try Shadow at RideNow on boulder, he's a pretty good guy hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Don't think they will beat that racers edge quote that sounds like a good deal!

Not everybody DOESN'T do those things either!
