New to the forum thanks to Vegasrider.

I have a question.
I just bought a 2008 Yamaha FZ6 and its coming up on 26500miles which is when the valves have to be adjusted/checked. I also noticed that my CCT starts making noise. I went to a local shop and they quoted me $850+ for the valves and CCT which seems a bit expensive?!

I don't have the tools or the room to try it myself (quite frankly I'm not sure my knowledge is enough to do it myself) and I was wondering if any of you guys know a shop or a good mechanic who could check/adjust the valves and replace the CCT?!

Any help is greatly appreciated.]]>

The issue...
While riding, at 70, the gas gives out (no matter how much I give it I either get little or no response), and the bike idles to 0 rpm...and dies..
can pull in clutch and release, and it "push starts" but at high speed that is quite dangerous, and very unpleasant...
If I pull over, and get to a dead stop the bike fires right back up, and I can go again until I hit 50-70 for about a quarter to a half mile, and wham, same issue...

Please help... or send me in a direction to someone who can. As I have already taken it to a couple local shops, I am now completely skeptical of the work around here. Thanks in advance....
