This was an amazing race. If you haven't watched it yet, you need to.

Spoiler.......

So it only took Rossi 5 laps to take the lead from his 4 qualifying spot and never look back. Rossi looked like his old self. He hit was hitting his marks and never looked like he was under durress or pushing his bike. He looked very smooth. Unlike Marquez who looked like he may have missed the setup by only a small fraction, but you can tell he was pushing his bike to the limits by the way the the way the buke was sliding around. Squeezing every bit out of his tires paid off though and he placed second. Pedrosa struggled (finished 4th) and Cal Crutchlow took advantage to score his first podium.

The big story here is Jorge Lorenzo. This guy is a true die hard. On Thursday after noon he suffered a crash during practice and broke his left collar bone. Thursday night he flew to Barcelona and had surgery at 2 am Friday morning. They inserted a titanium plate fastened by 8 screws. Friday afternoon he flew back to holland and qualified 8th. On Saturday, he raced and placed 5th. I couldn't imaging the kind of pain he was feeling during the race but more do after when the adrenalin wore off. I have a whole new respect for Lorenzo. For the first half of the race he was on pace with the leaders and moved up to 3rd for a few laps but then his pace fell off a bit and slipped back into fifth where he rode the last half of the race after being passed by Crutchlow. A good day for Yamaha.

Holy crap. Marquez put on a clinic!!! Youngest ever to win from pole. Previous record holder......Freddie Spencer. Marquez was amazing, sliding and drifting. It was a marvel to watch. He just flat out made the most of the motorcycle, the tires, and the track! Along the back straight these guys were topping out at 212 Mph.

The circuit was well designed. Lots of variety; long sweepers, long straights, elevation changes, fast "S's". Great commentary too. This had to have been one of the most entertaining races I have seen in a while. Pedrosa has got to be shaking in his boots and Lorenzo scratching his head. This kid, Marquezis the real deal and the season is only two races old. I can't wait for round 3!!!

I saw on the motogp.com website you can subscribe to a video feed, but it's pretty expensive.

Just wanted to check to see if there is anything else out there.

Do the local bars show the races? Maybe an excuse to get out and go to PTs each week! haha

Blake Young may not have a full time AMA Superbike ride this season but he will get the chance to compete in some high-profile races. CycleNews reports the former Yoshimura Suzuki rider will race for Attack Performance on its Kawasaki-powered CRT racebike at the three U.S. MotoGP rounds.

Young was runner-up to Josh Hayes in the last two AMA Superbike campaigns. In 2011, Young trailed Hayes 363-358 at the end of the season but had a 7-3 edge in race wins. This year, Young had three wins but they all came in the first three double-header events before Hayes separated himself from everyone else on his way to a record-setting season. Despite being one of the few racers with a good chance of catching Hayes, Young found himself without a ride after Yoshimura decided to go in a different direction.

Now that he’s landed with the Attack Performance team, Young will be chasing M1s around the track instead of R1s at three MotoGP races. Young will compete in the April 21 Grand Prix of the Americas at Austin’s new Circuit of the Americas, the July 21 U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., and the Aug. 18 Indianapolis Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“I got a deal with Richard Stanboli and the Attack guys to do the three wild card races on the CRT bike,” Young tels CycleNews. “I’m really excited about it. I think they put forth a really good effort last year and I’m looking forward to getting on the bike and hopefully getting those guys some good results and hopefully finding some more sponsorship for the team.”

Last year, the Attack team and rider Steve Rapp attempted to race at the Laguna Seca and Indianapolis rounds but failed to qualify for the U.S. Grand Prix. The team redeemed itself at Indy, qualifying 21st and finishing 14th to score 2 championship points.

“I think they did a really good job last year and Steve Rapp rode the bike really well and they had a really good effort put forth,” says Young. “They gave me a call and asked if I’d be interested … at this point I’m pretty much interested in anything and I think this is a good opportunity. To be in that paddock and to learn from those guys … I’m fairly young and that’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Maybe CRT is the future and I’d like to be on an American team at the American rounds.”

EAST TROY, WI (December 17, 2012) - Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) announced its renewed partnership with the Army National Guard for the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship season. This season marks the team's fifth year of collaboration with the nation's oldest branch of the military, and their common goal is to continue to provide a platform for recruiting and to train National Guard soldiers to ride street motorcycles safely.

The race-winning MJM team is also celebrating the addition of a new rider to its lineup, Danny Eslick, who will ride the #23 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000. A former Daytona Sportbike Champion, Eslick finished eighth overall in last year's AMA Pro Superbike series and brought home three podium finishes. Eslick's best result of the season was a solid second-place at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

Eslick joins National Guard Jordan Suzuki's returning rider Roger Lee Hayden, who will again race the #54 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000. Last year, Hayden picked up his first-ever AMA Pro Superbike victory and finished third overall in the series. Hayden's win came at Homestead-Miami Speedway, where he also captured his first career AMA Pro Superbike pole position. Overall, 2012 saw Hayden visit the podium seven times.

"It's all about the goal of winning a championship," said Kreig Robinson, MJM Vice President of Corporate Relations. "Each year we work tirelessly to improve upon the last. Through intense off-season development and testing, we try to come up with the formula that will put us on top every race. We are looking forward to a good 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike season."

YOSHIMURA SUZUKI FACTORY RACING PRIMED TO DOMINATE AT SEASON-OPENING SUPERBIKE RACE Yoshimura Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas & Chris Clark Ready for Daytona CHINO, CA (March 7, 2013) – The 2013 AMA Pro Superbike season holds nothing but promise for Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing. Fielding new rider Martin Cardenas and returning rider Chris Clark on championship-winning Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000s, the team is eager to go racing at the season-opening round of the series next week at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL. Leading the charge for the Yoshimura Suzuki squad is two-time AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Champion Cardenas. Not only did Cardenas win the 600cc title in 2012, he also picked up eight wins in the process. The year prior, Cardenas raced the premier Superbike class, finishing sixth and fourth at the Daytona races. Now, the Colombian racer is looking forward to returning to the Superbike class and to the first race of the season at Daytona in particular. “We’re working really hard to get ready for the first race at Daytona,” said Cardenas. “I’ve been getting familiar with the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 and I’ve found it to be incredibly powerful. My goal for Daytona, and also for the year, is to try to fight for the win or podium positions in each race. Right now I have, if not the best team in the paddock, then one of the best teams, behind me, and that gives me a lot of confidence going into the season-opening round.” Like Cardenas, returning Yoshimura Suzuki rider Clark is looking toward the upcoming Daytona race with enthusiasm and anticipation. In 2012, Clark captured his best qualifying time of the season at Daytona. He also picked up two top-10 finishes in the Superbike races. In the weekend’s second race, Clark celebrated a season’s best seventh-place result. Heading to Daytona in 2013, the Yoshimura Suzuki rider is hoping to take his performance to the next level. “Every year I’ve felt like I’ve improved and I want to keep that going, starting with Daytona,” said Clark. “I think that my new fitness regimen will help elevate that. This year, the AMA Pro Superbike field is really stacked with top-caliber riders. At Daytona, I’d love to get on the podium and be battling with those guys up front. It’s definitely going to be a challenge but it’s one I’m up to and look forward to.” The Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing team will once again aggressively campaigning the championship-winning Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the 2013 AMA Pro Superbike Championship series, which kicks off March 14 - 16 with round one at Daytona International Raceway in Daytona Beach, FL.
