I just went and ran Mulholland this past weekend. Had a blast. I took a pic as well but from just above where you snapped this one. When I went through COMING from the south, I didn't even realize I had gone through that turn, but on the way back, it all looked familiar. Funny thing is, it really isn't all that tight of a turn IMO, so I'm not sure why everyone busts their ass there. But the pictures and videos don't do it justice, it's a surprisingly steep uphill rise when coming from the Rock Store.

and yeah, when we went through last summer on a weekend it was so crowded we crawled through the curve... didn't get a chance to challenge it...

Yeah, when I went a couple weeks ago, we purposely didn't hit Mulholland on a weekend day to avoid the crowds, and it was a good move. I later found out that there were probably a couple hundred bikes on the highway the day we WERE going to hit Mulholland, and the cops were running up and down the canyon all day long busting people, writing tickets, and hauling some folks off to jail. We ended up doing Mulholland on a Monday and pretty much had it to ourselves...problem is, the Rock Store is only open Fri-Sun so we weren't able to do anything there.
