Stole this idea from another forum. Whatever.

ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! had a leaking fork seal on maggie so I tore down the front end and replace with brand new seals. Fixed the leaking fork, BUT now the other fork, that was not leaking IS!!!!! YAY for doing the job twice. Tried the "clean out" technique using 35mm film and that yielded nothing! Hopefully the seal is still good. I suspect there is just a little bit of plastic wrap in there (used it to protect the seal from the sharp edges of the fork tube).

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! FML!

that is all

It happens.

BTW on that chain breaker, accidentally breaking the little post off the back plate deal made the thing easier and more effective to use. Still gonna replace it tho.

Note to self (and everyone else): don't do fork seals late at night in poor light when tired or you may put a seal in upside down.

Note 2 to self: All Balls seals look identical top and bottom so only way you know is checking the angles on the seal lips.

Got 'er done though! All is well. Now if I didn't just drop 7 bills on new rubber for my truck, today would have been a great day. Yay for new tires tho!
