When buying a new exhaust what is absolutely needed? Just the can and the mid pipe?
You don't need a pipe the dealership said it's only worth 500 the pipe will cost more then that.
So I think its worth a bit more now. I got fork seals fixed and front brakes .. Easily worth 599.99 now ...

Had to edit cause I can't read.
unless you like just the look and sound, most aftermarket pipes arent worth it to buy. they do nothing for you, and sometimes can actually take away from the streetability of the bike by moving the power from the more useful lower end to the upper end. Normal street riding you would want more bottom end power. Opening up the exhaust takes that away some.

Focus more on getting the bike in good mechanical condition first (*caugh* valves *caugh*) and move on from there.

But that is just my $0.37 (adjusted for inflation) on the matter so take as you will.

Whats the issue with the valves ?
Not 100% .. But that guy HIGHLY suggested I get them looked at.
Valve train sounded like a heap of empty soda cans thrown into a clothes dryer

well not THAT bad, but close.
