anybody with a cherry picker (engine hoist) wanna help me out and make some cash...?

need to pick my bike up off the ground so i can put the front wheel back on. my front stand failed while i had the rim off the bike. it's too low to get a jack under it at this point so i need to strap and hoist it up.

luckily i was standing right there about to wire tie my calipers up so they weren't hanging by the brake lines when it happened, so it didn't fall over.

i have a couple ideas but that is the easiest way.
Get a pair of ratchet straps.
Hook them to the L brackets that hold the garage opener to the ceiling...near where the bolts are.
Make sure they are good bolts/screws going into the support beams.

Attach the other ends to the bike, around the handlebars or triple tree.
Ratchet it up.

Thats what I do when I need to remove the front wheel.

Once done, release the ratchets both at the same time and the bike will drop straight down.

(you need a rear stand to stabilize the bike though)
what part of town you in?

nothing can be strapped to the ceiling or otherwise. not my garage so can fuck anything up. it could be done with a 10' strong A frame ladder but i don't have that either. lol i've used one before.

i am in north, just north of the cannery.
