First off since I am fairly new to the Las Vegas area I am not sure if there are any locations along the route where it could/will be potentially closed or blocked??? Anyone know? but I have nothing planned Thursday so I am planning to go for a ride. If anyone wants to join, your more than welcome to. Plan on meeting at the Petro gas station near LVMS at 9:00 leave 9:15.

Might be interested. Wife is working anyways. Ill see if I can get a babysitter.
Hey Matt. I've done this ride recently, well minus Overton. There shouldn't be anything closed or blocked.

I may be in for this, but not sure how the GF will be with me disappearing that morning.
done this route a few times... just a heads up, VoF is a state park, not a federal so you have to pay to get in ($8 I think). Lak Mead is a Fed park so you also have to pay to get in ($10 unless you have a pass). Just some things to remember/consider.

OUT. In-laws in town, though this would be much more enjoyable.

Alright, yeah I just wasn't sure if there was a gate entrance to valley of fire that would be closed because of the holiday. I've ridden the Northshore road to Overton once and didn't see any gated areas on that stretch.
The gate for VoF is actually as you leave the park and head towards 15. You can avoid it all together if you go back the way you came via Northshore.
Out busy cooking the turkey since the wife doesn't do any cooking at all!
My GF suggested that if I wanted to go on a ride in the morning instead of helping cook that I might also like to have Thanksgiving dinner with my bike as well.

I may have further influenced this situation by mistaking that to mean I could roll the bike into the house while we ate.

Given the current state of things I shall now be doing a much shorter ride in the afternoon to and through Red Rock.

Have a safe ride!

TL;DR Out
lol!!!
