On the poker run a couple people asked about the details about my phone mount.

The part numbers pictured are:

X-Grip - RAM-HOL-UN7BU :

Short Double Socket 1" Ball Arm - RAM-B-201U-A

Fork Stem Base 1" Ball - RAM-B-342U

I actually found all the pieces at BMW Motorcycles (http://goo.gl/maps/jJyg7), and I believe they had more of each piece in stock. They were only a couple dollars difference, and you'd end up paying that in shipping anyway.

If you don't have an open fork stem there are still a ton of other mounting options as well. All of the RAM mount are super high quality/heavy duty, and reliable.

The X-Grip really does hold whatever you put in there super tight. I feel confident my phone is secure. It's also pretty universal so every phone on the market should fit, as well as most GPS and satellite radio units.

I also picked up a 3.25" suction cup twist lock mount.

As long as you have a flat surface it's great. It feels super secure, and I plan on using them for GoPro mounts.

If anyone wants to take a look up close before purchasing let me know, and we can meet up somewhere so you can play with what I have.
Thank you for this! Now I have another xmas gift for myself! =D

Does this look like the complete set that one would need to install or is there another piece missing?

That mount is a handlebar mount, and that looks like the longer arm.

You can try searching for: RAM-B-176-A-UN7U - That should be the full kit of exactly what I have.

Mine mounts in in the center stem which is open. http://i.imgur.com/8azFKBh.jpg

Yea that cradle has too much going on for me.

Full kit direct from RAM is 51.63 too.
I have the same grip mount, purchased it online from GPS City that is located in Las Vegas. The problem I have with this mount is that I have some buttons located on the side of my phone, so whenever I insert it into the mount, the pressure from the grips will turn my phone off. I have to figure out if there is some sort of locking mechanism for my phone so the buttons remain inacative.

Yea, it can push the buttons on the iphone too, however I am able to scoot it down enough that it doesn't interfere with the buttons or mute switch. If I have the case on my phone it doesn't interfere at all.
I use the Rokform case and mount on my bike, bicycle, in my truck...
