anyone got a multimeter with an amp clamp?
need to borrow one for a few minutes to sort out where im at power-wise on my dirt bike. The math isnt adding up on the components and lights and need to figure out exactly how much current Im using.
Let me know. I can pick up and return whenever. - Justin "You were taking it easy right? Because I could keep up with you and from what I understand, I shouldn't be able to do that..." - Ken "No Neck" |

I have four multimeters and 2 clamp-ons. If you have a multimeter take out the fuse and run it in series with the circuit you want to test. I'm in Cali this week.

yeah I could do that... but a clamp is much easier. and im not sure I trust my cheapie MM enough to give me an accurate reading.

RE: anyone got a multimeter with an amp clamp?
mine is not. too damn poor for fluke. If i worked in the industry I would have better stuff, but for the most part I use a MM for checking voltage at the battery and figuring load on circuits (mostly on audio setups). as long as the components are not too sensitive, the cheap ones are fine for that.
