RE: Helemt law
What are your other 2 reasons?

RE: Helemt law
I. Did you know that the United States could have saved an additional $1.4 billion in 2010 if all motorcyclists had word helmets? ("Injury Prevention & Control: Motor Vehicle Safety"). Helmet laws have been a huge political debate here in Nevada. We are one of twenty states that have a universal helmet law. While wearing a helmet may seem inconvenient and restrictive, they will save your life. So today I will be defending why we need to keep helmet laws in Nevada for the following reason. The first is Medical cost, Secondly it saves lives and third .

II. Supporting Reasons
A. Medical Cost
1. Between 2005-2009 5,559 Admitted to UMC
a. 90% wearing helmets average cost was $68,784
b. 10% not wearing helmets average cost was $84,004
2. Between 2008-2009 $45million went unpaid at UMC
B. Insurance cost
1. States without a Universal Helmet Law require a minimum of $20,000 coverage in medical insurance
a. Senator Gustavson says it’s unnecessary.
b. Senator Menedo says that it’s not sufficient.
C. Saves lives
1. All helmets are DOT certified
a. DOT mandatory certification.
1. Snell is a better certification
2. Compared to surrounding states, Nevada helps saves lives
a. Nevada’s lives were doubled
b. reduced risk of death by 37%
c. reduced risk of head injury by 69%
III. Today I have defended why I support Nevada having a universal helmet law by giving you the medical cost, insurance cost and how it helps saves lives.

how does that look?

RE: Helemt law
Well you can say that helmets help keep riders aware of other thngs going on. No bugs in your eyes or wind in your face so you can concentrate on actually riding. Tinted visor helps keep the glare of the sun away.

Work Smarter, Not Harder. Cool
